Lights! Camera! ACTION! 2013 mental health campaign
Following public outcry and calls for better journalism from mental health charities, The Sun newspaper has printed a correction of its front page headline from earlier in the week which read “1,200 killed by mental patients”.
An investigation by the BBC and Community Care magazine suggests that mental health services in England are in “crisis”.
Today is World Mental Health Day and to mark the occasion, Lights! Camera! ACTION! – our 2013 national campaign run by mental health service users and carers and supported by Hafal, Bipolar UK and the Mental Health Foundation – was celebrated at an event in the Senedd.
Hugely successful user and carer-led campaign will culminate in an event in the Oriel Gallery on Thursday 10th October 2013
