Government allocates £12m of funding for new mental health facilities

£12million of new funding for mental health services in Wales has been allocated in the Draft Welsh Government Budget 2013-14.

The funding includes £10m for the University Hospital Llandough Adult Acute Mental Health Hospital.

Commenting on the funding Health and Social Services Minister Lesley Griffiths AM said: “Our approach to mental health services has been commended by mental health charities, and service users tell us they are better than they have ever been. We are committed to investing further in these vital services and I am very pleased to have secured £12m for new facilities.”
