A “Summit” held at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells yesterday marked the culmination of “Movin’ On Up” – a summer-long campaign run by mental health service users and carers and supported by charities Hafal, Bipolar UK and the Mental Health Foundation. The Summit incorporated Hafal’s AGM and included an interactive exhibition showcasing Hafal’s work across the 22 counties of Wales.
Hafal Events Coordinator Emma Billings said: “Two hundred delegates, mostly people with a serious mental illness and their families, attended the Summit. The day was action-packed with a mix of workshops and interactive activities. It was great to see everyone getting together to share their experiences and have a good time.”
