As part of its campaigning to promote choice and quality in treatments for mental illness, Welsh mental health charity Hafal has launched a new guide to treatments designed to give service users and carers key information on both psychological therapies and medications.
Approximately three out of four (72%) carers of those living with schizophrenia, are mainly [34%] or solely [38%] responsible for caring, placing a huge emotional and physical burden on them, according to the preliminary results of a major international survey
Hafal has been awarded £150k by Comic Relief to run a new service which aims to support people with a mental illness in the Criminal Justice System and reduce rates of re-offending in Wales.

Today Let’s Get Physical! reached Neath Port Talbot at an event which included a healthy eating buffet, a zumba exercise class – and a Wii Fit competition! Visitors at today’s event also had the opportunity to get key health checks in the Mobile Health Centre which has journeyed to all 22 counties of Wales during the summer.
