The Mental Health Today Wales 2016 conference and exhibition takes place at the Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff on May 18th 2016.
Mental Health Today Wales is an exhibition bringing together 400 visitors, 15 exhibitors and a full,multi-stream seminar programme.
The conference will take place a couple of weeks after the Welsh Assembly elections, so the event will look at where mental health policy will go next. This major Welsh exhibition is for the entire mental health sector – professionals and people who useservices – from across the statutory and independent sectors.
For this year’s MHT Wales event the theme is “Having a voice and being listened to”.
The event will feature a full multi-stream seminar programme taking place across three different rooms, each with their own theme:
- Main Room – Policy
- Room 2 – Research/Innovation
- Room 3 – Practice
Speakers will cover examples of good practice and providing practical guidance, and the seminars will cover contemporary issues concerning the mental health sector.
In the exhibition area, innovative projects and organisations that extend choice and control for people living with mentalhealth issues will be showcased throughout the day.
The inclusive programme of CPD certified seminars will feature representation from across the mental health community – commissioners, policy makers, charities, providers, family carers, support workers, and mostimportantly services.
