Submissions open for NCMH’s Express Yourself Exhibition 2018

The National Centre for Mental Health (NCMH) is asking students to get inspired and submit a piece of original artwork on the topic of mental health. It can be based on their own experiences or maybe a placement that they have been on.

Following the success of the NCMH’s first exhibition in 2017 they have once again partnered with medical student Natalie ‘Tilly’ Evans and, this year, also brought on board Laura Dernie of My Discombobulated Brain.

This year’s winners will be announced at the NCMH’sexhibition on University Mental Health Day, Thursday 1 March, and will appear alongside the other top 10 entries.

The evening will commence from 6.30pm with a series of brief talks, an exhibition by photographer Alex Stewart entitled ‘Why Don’t You Smile More?’, followed by a wine reception.

Tickets are free to book on the NCMH’s Eventbrite page. Both entrants and the general public are encouraged to attend.

The deadline for submitting entries is Friday 26 January.

Visit the exhibition page for more details about the event and how to submit your artwork.

Good luck!
